The lesson plan document I created is an equity-centered, asynchronous mini-module focused on Earth’s layers and geological history. It incorporates Universal Design for Learning (UDL), comprehensive accessibility features, offline alternatives, and multiple options for student expression and engagement. The plan includes clear objectives, step-by-step instructions, interactive activities, varied project formats, and embedded scaffolding to support independent learning. It is designed to ensure all students, regardless of ability, language background, or technology access, can meaningfully engage with content and demonstrate understanding. Assessment strategies include rubrics, knowledge checks, and reflective prompts to capture both performance and student experience, with built-in opportunities for continuous improvement based on data and feedback.
